Tutorial: Slaves

Slaves provide you with blood "income," or "blood flow."

Blood is currency in the game, and it is necessary to have a positive blood flow in order to buy Powers.  Slaves come every 7 levels.  Each has a different level of income brought per unit, and most require "minders," or clan.  Once your clan is at or over 501 (you need to race to this number ASAP for many reasons!), you will have 501 minders, and your "Slave" tab will list how many are being used and how many are still available.  At some point, you will have to sell off lower-level slaves to free up minders for higher-level ones.  Also, slaves become more expensive every time they are purchased, so don't waste blood buying one or two at a time; try ALWAYS to buy them in units of 10 to get the most for your "money."  When you sell slaves, you will receive much less blood (50%, I think?) than you spent to acquire them.

Whenever a new slave becomes available, therefore, you have to check several things: Do you have enough blood to buy a pack of 10 of the new slave?  Do you have enough minders to buy a pack of 10 of the new slave?  (If not, free up minders before your purchase.  Always sell the lowest-bloodflow slaves first, even if you have to sell many more of them to free up the necessary amount of minders.)  Then buy 10 of the new slave, and see if you can afford/mind 10 more, as described above.  Remember the price goes up after each purchase, so there may come a point where you feel another pack of 10 would simply not be worth the price!  If you have left-over minders, feel free to pick up a lower level slave or two to use that minder up.  :)
